Characteristics

The Yunlin sedge belongs to the family Cyperaceae. It has a triangular aboveground stem, from which blooms small brown flowers. This plant also has a perennial rhizome and annual aboveground stems with leaves that gradually wither in autumn/winter.. The Yunlin sedge starts sprouting again during the next year’s spring.

Distribution

The Yunlin sedge grows in the core area of Gaomei Wetlands.
